Magnesium is necessary for the proper utilisation of minerals in the
body. Over 300 enzymes require this mineral's presence and certain proteins need
it for proper synthesis. Without it the nervous system may suffer.
It helps relax the muscles, and therefore may help in cramping situations.
Best taken with calcium for this purpose. Calcium is always best taken with
magnesium and Vit D. Over sixty percent of magnesium is found in the bones, and
the rest is found mainly in the soft tissues and blood. Calcium is also found in
the bones in the highest amount.
Magnesium may also help with energy production and support elimination and
nutritional value throughout the tissues. Magnesium is the central atom in the
chlorophyll molecule, and in physiology it activates the ATP energy system. ATP
(Adenosine-5'-triphosphate) is often called the "molecular unit of
currency of intracellular energy transfer".
This important mineral is also necessary for the metabolism of vitamin c,
phosphorus, potassium and sodium.
Each nutrient in this formula has been carefully
selected to provide maximum nutrition.
