PARSLEY IS NUTRITION FOR:
|
Fluid retention, kidneys, general nutrition.
|
PARSLEY DESCRIPTION:
|
Parsley is a well known garnish
for certain meals and has a
flavour that is not liked by
some as it is quite strong.
It is a great source of chlorophyll,
being dark green, and is useful
as a breath and body deodoriser.
Some use it to try and hide
strong smells such as garlic.
(NSP also has liquid chlorophyll
as a drink and in capsule form
which is a mighty body deodoriser).
More importantly is the usefulness
in helping the health of the
kidneys and it has been used
to help the urine flow more
freely. One situation I read
of years ago was a case where
the lady boiled up loads of
parsley in water and drank it
to help her water retention
problem. It worked for her extremely
well but personally, I would
prefer to take it in capsule
form as 1 capsule holds a great
amount of the freeze dried parsley
and one doesn't have to drink
something that may be bad to
the taste.
The high nutrition in parsley
may help to increase resistance
to infection. Both roots and
leaves have been used for liver
and spleen problems when jaundice
is present. Parsley has also
been used for mild menstrual
pain, and dyspepsia with intestinal
colic. It may also stimulate
the production of digestive
fluids and enhance the elimination
of wastes from inflamed joints
via the kidneys.
See precautions below please.
